38 Special - 10, Rhubarb Crisp - 8

38 Special started their season off with a bang against Rhubarb Crisp in an 18-goal shootout. The game was back and forth with both teams exchanging goal after goal, but 38 Special came out on top. Riley MacVicar and Brandon Rewucki scored 3 each for the Crisp, and Mike Johnson and Joel Matheson popped in their first goals of the season. The Crisps look to rebound from their first loss of the season when they play the Dazzlers on April 11th.

With almost half of the team unable to play, Rhubarb Crisp powered by the Hard 5's or Better to go 3-0 on the season. Riley MacVicar scored a goal in each of the first and second periods, and then Brandon Rewucki and Michael Minarik scored a pair each in the third to seal the deal.

Crease Violators - 0, Rhubarb Crisp - 2

Rhubarb Crisp showed up bright and early Saturday morning to take on the Crease Violators but the opposing team did not have enough players to play the game. Although disappointed that we could not play, a win is a win and we will gladly take it. The Crisp's nest game is Thursday night against the Hard 5's or Better.

Rhubarb Crisp started off the season last night with a 4-1 victory over the Crease Violators. Tanner MacVicar scored in the second period to tie the game at 1 after the Violators took the lead. Russell Asquith broke the tie, and Tanner MacVicar and Brandon Rewucki scored to increase the lead. New goaltender Keith Code played a solid game and made some big saves late in the game to hold onto the win. Rhubarb Crisp will try to sweep this home and home series against the Crease Violators this Saturday at 10:30 am.
