Crease Violators - 4, Rhubarb Crisp - 3

With only six players showing up (and only 1 of their top 5 scorers), Rhubarb Crisp knew they would have to play good defense. The first period was played tight and remained 0-0. The Crisps started showing some fatigue in the second where they allowed 3 goals in less than a minute. Once again the referees took over the game, calling 2 questionable penalties against the Crisp in the third, which eventually cost them the game. Rhubarb Crisp did not give up, putting on pressure late in the third and eventually ringing one off the post. Tanner MacVicar scored two and Mike Johnson had the other. Ross Cook had three assists.
SAS - 2, Rhubarb Crisp - 11

Rhubarb Crisp started off the game with a bang, scoring three goals in the first period and six goals in the second period before running into some penalty troubles. SAS got on the board in the third on the power play after the first of 4 bogus rhubarb penalties. Riley MacVicar dominated the game with 5 goals, Brandon Rewucki scored three, Tanner MacVicar added one, speedster Aaron Hemminger got his first of the year, and rookie Justin Audette scored his first career goal. Goalie Keith Code play another solid game for the Crisps.
Express - 5, Rhubarb Crisp - 4 (OT)

Rhubarb Crisp played another tight game against Express, this time taking it to overtime where a costly line change and defensive mix up cost them the game. Express got themselves into penalty troubles early and the Crisps made them pay by scoring two power play goals. Michael Minarik scored twice, and Riley MacVicar and Tanner MacVicar also scored.

The second game of double header night was the total opposite of the first. Rhubarb Crisp dominated the play throughout the game, but Violator's goalie Sean Hayward was unbeatable. Justin Vitt and Brandon Rewucki scored for the Crisp's, who allowed a late goal in the third to fall to the Crease Violators for the first time this season.
Rhubarb Crisp - 1, 38 Special - 4

Rhubarb Crisp started off their first game of double-header night slow and sluggish. 38 Special was given a lot of scoring chances and they capitalized on most of them. Keith Code made a lot of big saves to keep his team in the game, but the Crisps were unable to help him out. The lone goal for the Rhubs was scored by Tanner MacVicar.
Rhubarb Crisp - 4, Hard 5's or Better - 5 (OT)

Michael Minarik continued to dominate against the Hard 5's, scoring another two goals against them. Brandon Rewucki scored once again and rookie Evan Pepper scored his first career goal. The Hard 5's or Better scored to send the game to overtime where a defensive mistake gave them a clear shot on goaltender Keith Code to hand the Crisps an overtime loss.
Rhubarb Crisp - 7, Express - 8

Rhubarb Crisp started the game off strong, taking advantage of Express' short roster. Express kept it close and had some fresh legs as more of their players showed up at the start of the 3rd period. Riley MacVicar and Brandon Rewucki both scored hat-tricks, and Tanner MacVicar had a franchise record 5 assists. Michael Minarik also scored one for the Rhubarb.
S A S - 5, Rhubarb Crisp - 2

Rhubarb Crisp started off slow after a two week break, allowing two early first period goals. After SAS scored another two in the second, the Crisps finally got on the score sheet when Riley MacVicar and Brandon Rewucki scored goals two-minutes apart. Rhubarb Crisp's penalty kill was once again strong, killing all four penalties and putting the teams penalty kill on top of the division at 88.89%
The Crisp's next game will be against the division leading Express next Saturday at 10:30 am.
